How to Perform Deep Scan?
After running Quick Scan, if you are unable to find the deleted or lost images, audio, or video files we suggest running Deep Scan. This scan type thoroughly scans the selected drive and helps locate data that you were unable to find with Quick Scan.
1. Launch Photos Recovery.
2. From the home screen select the drive to scan (internal or external).
3. Select Deep Scan from the bottom left of your screen.
4. Click Start Scan. A screen showing the scanning process will appear.
5. Wait for the scanning to complete.
Deep Scan will take time depending on the disk size and deleted data to recover.
6. Once done you will get a list of all files that can be recovered using Photos Recovery.
By default, all the scanned images, audio, or video files are selected. To manually make the selection, uncheck the ones that you don't want to recover.
Preview file to make a better decision.
7. After selecting the images, audio, or video files to retrieve click Recover > select the location where you wish to restore images, audio, or video files.
Tip: Never save recovered data on the disk partition from which it was deleted. Doing so minimizes the chances of further images, audio, or video files recovery in case you lose it again.
8. Once the images, audio, or video files are retrieved you will get a summary of the action performed.
You can select only one hard drive partition at a time for recovery.
