How To Export All Your Passwords From Chrome, Firefox To TweakPass Secure Vault

Export Passwords saved in Chrome and other browsers into TweakPass Secure Vault.

Are you looking for a way to Export Chrome passwords? Want to generate random and strong passwords? If yes, then you’ve landed in the right place.

Here, we will explain a quick way to export passwords stored on Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and how to secure them.

From time to time to make browsers secure Google, Mozilla, Microsoft, and other companies keep releasing updates. The latest Chrome update version 88 is an example of the same. With this update, Google allows users to check the password strength and secure passwords. But is this update useful? Can users rely on it?

Well, the answer depends on what data security means to you and what importance you give to passwords. For some web browsers, remembering passwords and allowing synching is all that they want. But some don’t rely on built-in password managers as they aren’t as powerful as third-party password managers.

Also, built-in password managers are limited to the browser you are using. For example, if you use Google Chrome on all the platforms, you can access the saved passwords., But if you use Google Chrome on PC and Safari on Mac, you cannot access the passwords saved in Chrome and vice versa.

This means using a built-in password you cannot have access to all the data. The easiest solution for this problem is to use a password manager that allows syncing data and generating passwords.

How To Export Chrome, Firefox, Opera Passwords in a Secure Vault

Note : Master Password will give you access to the Secure Vault and TweakPass extension. Hence, make sure you remember it as TweakPass does not store any of your data. As a precautionary measure, you can see a password hint. This will help remember it in case of a mishappening.

  • Click Start Scan to scan browsers – Chrome, Firefox, and Opera for saved passwords.
  • Wait for the process to finish!
  • Once done, you will see the list of passwords saved in the browsers you use.
  • From here, to Export this data to a Secure Vault, click Import.

Note : To finish importing, you will need to close the browser.

  • Once the process is successful, you will get a confirmation message.
  • Click Ok.

This will export all the passwords saved in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera into TweakPass Secure Vault. You can view them by clicking on Sites. In addition to this, if you want you can add more data by clicking Add New.

Now that we have exported the passwords from Chrome and other browsers how will they be synced, right?

Well for that we will have to download and install the TweakPass extension.

Another important reason for using a password manager is that it allows data syncing. To do so, we will need to install the TweakPass extension. This can be done from within the app by clicking the Extensions tab.

Once you have the extension installed, use the same login details to sign in to the extension.

Thereafter click TweakPass logo > My Vault.

Here you will see a list of all the exported passwords from Chrome and other browsers.

In addition to this, you can also generate secure passwords. This will help replace weak passwords with stronger ones and stay secure.

Remember to save the password so that you don’t have to remember it. This way you can not only export Chrome passwords but can also sync data and generate secure passwords.

Looking for something else? Want to know if the master password you created for Secure Vault and TweakPass password manager is secure or not?

If you are nodding your head, then read further.

  5. This will help replace weak passwords.

Now, I think you must have understood why third-party password managers are better than built-in password managers. If you still have any questions do leave them the same in the comments section.

A word of caution, the password management tools built-into your browser – Chrome, Firefox, or any other aren’t as advanced as third-party password managers. So, before you decide to rely on them learn about both the advantages and disadvantages. Also, to stay safe from data breaches, export Chrome password today into TweakPass Secure Vault.
