Lenovo Vantage is a pre-installed software application on Lenovo laptops and desktops designed to help users manage their device settings, updates, and diagnostics easily. If this software is not working or not responding on Windows 11/10, then there are a few tried and tested troubleshooting steps that can help fix this issue.

Did you know that you have an option to reset an app on Windows? This option helps clear cache and temp files stored by the app, that may cause conflicts and allows the app to run afresh. This may resolve the issue without having to uninstall and reinstall the app. Here is what you need to do.
Step 1: Press Win + I to go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
Step 2: Find Lenovo Vantage in the list.
Step 3: Click the three dots (…) > Advanced options.
Step 4: Scroll down and click Repair. If that doesn’t help, click Reset.
Some experts suggest that the Lenovo Vantage runs properly only if the service associated with it runs properly in the background. To fix this, we can toggle the required service by following these steps.
Step 1: Press Win + R to launch the RUN box, type services.msc, and press the OK button.

Step 5: In the new box, set the “Startup type” to “Automatic”.

There is another method to fix Lenovo Vantage problem. You need to uninstall both Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo System Interface Foundation. Here are the steps –
Step 1: Press the Windows key, type “Add Remove Programs” and click on the matching search result.
Step 2: Look for the Lenovo application and click on the three dots next to it to choose Uninstall.
Step 3: Follow the onscreen steps to uninstall the app from your PC.
Step 4: To uninstall the Lenovo System Interface Foundation, you can open the Windows PowerShell (Admin) by pressing Windows + X and choosing Terminal Admin from the Power menu.
Step 5: Copy and paste the following command –
powershell Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers *SystemInterfaceFoundation* | Remove-AppxPackage.
Step 6: Exit all the open windows and restart your computer.
Step 7: Then, reinstall Lenovo Vantage from the Microsoft Store.
Step 8: Also, download and install the latest Lenovo System Interface Foundation from the Lenovo Support website.
Step 1: Press the Windows key and search for “Windows Security” in the Start Menu.
Step 2: Go to “Firewall & network protection”.
Step 3: Click on “Allow an app through firewall”.
Step 4: Ensure that Lenovo Vantage and Microsoft Edge are checked for both private and public networks.
Note : Lenovo Vanatage app relies on Microsoft Edge, and hence it is important to ensure that it is allowed via the Firewall.
If the issue started after a specific update, you can try a system restore to a point before the issue occurred.
Step 1: Press Win + S to open Windows Search and type System Restore.
Step 2: Click on Create A Restore Point, and a new window will open.
Step 3: Next, click on the System Restore button.
Step 4: Click on the Next button.
Step 5: Select a date before the last update and proceed with the steps to restore your PC to a back date.
Step 6: After the process is complete, you will face no issues with Lenovo Vantage.
Note : System restore does not affect files on your hard disk. However, any software installed after the recovery date will be removed, and any setting changes made will also be reverted.
Step 1: Press Windows + I to open the Windows Settings.
Step 2: Click on Windows Update located as the last tab in the left side.
Step 3: Now look for Check For Updates and click on it.
Step 4: You may have to click on Download & Install button next to each new update after the Check For Updates scan has completed.
Step 5: Next, click on Optional Updates and select all the updates here as well and click on Download & Install button.
Step 6: After the updates have been installed, reboot the system.
Updating drivers helps Windows users fix many issues that arise on their system. There are two ways to update drivers.
Device Manager is a built-in tool that helps Windows users to update drivers. Here are the steps to run this tool .
Step 1: Open the Device Manager by pressing Win + X and selecting Device Manager.
Step 2: Expand the sections that display the yellow exclamation mark.
Step 3: Right click on these driver one by one to view the context menu.
Step 4: Select Update Driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
